Submission Format

Our PCs and devices are programmed for the compatibility of our engraving and cutting machines. If you require a specific font in your file submission, please include the downloaded file for the font used.

Otherwise, we'll convert this font into graphics (containing straight lines and curves) to imitate the fonts that are unavailable in our system.

We will use your submitted font for your project(s) only.

To avoid any inconsistencies of your file submissions please ensure that it is compatible with the programs below:

Vector Files

  • CorelDraw X4 (or lower)
  • Adobe Ilustrator CS3 (or lower)
  • Encapsulated Postscript or EPS

Bitmap Files

  • Corel PHOTO-PAINT X4 (or lower)
  • Adobe Photoshop CS3 (or lower)
  • Windows Bitmap, JPEGs, PNGs, etc.

Bitmap size is important. It should be an absolute minimum of 150 dpi (300 dpi preferred).

This means that an 11″ x 15″ plaque needs an image that is 1650 pixels x 2250 pixels (3300 x 4500 preferred).

Vector graphics consist of paths that have a start point and an end point. It uses mathematical formulas to define lines and curves making it scalable without losing the quality and the sharpness of the image.

Vector-based images are not made up of a specific number of pixels per inch (ppi); therefore, it can be scaled to a billboard size image or a business card size image and still maintain its quality regardless of its size.

Common types of vector editing programs or apps include: CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Freehand, and EPS.

Common vector file name extensions include:

  • my-image.svg
  • another-image.eps
  • your-image.ai
  • this-image.cdr
  • image.ps

Please DO NOT embed bitmaps (raster images) into vector file formats. These embedded bitmaps do not automatically vectorize.
Raster Images

This file submission will require a redraw of the art/graphic.

Raster graphics (commonly referred to as a bitmap) are made up of grids of pixels. Each pixel represents a color that is grouped and arranged in a tile format creating these wide range of colors in a digital image.

These file types, typically, can be scaled down with no loss of quality; however, scaling it back to it's original size or larger causes the loss of quality that results to a blurry (pixelated) image. This is due to the subtraction and addition of pixels carrying specific colors, which are lost during the process.

Most images you see on your computer screen are raster graphics. The larger, and sharper the image quality looks, the more disk space it will take up.

Common types of raster graphics editing programs or apps include: Adobe Photoshop, Gimp, Corel PHOTO-PAINT, Affinity Photo, and Pixelformer.

Common bitmap file name extensions include:

  • my-image.png
  • another-image.jpg
  • your-image.jpeg
  • this-image.tiff
  • image.webp
